Lake Oil Limited is an Oil Marketing Company which was registered in the year 2005 and commenced its operations in March 2006 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The company is licensed to import and market petroleum products in the domestic market, and export markets in the neighboring countries of D.R.Congo, Zambia, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda. Lake Oil Limited is a member of the Tanzania Association of Oil Marketing Companies ( TAOMC ) and of Tanzania Truck Owners Association (TATOA).

The company has branches in Congo, Burundi and Zambia. In addition it also transports fuel to Uganda and Rwanda.

The company since its inception used to store on hospitality basis its imported products in the country with other Oil Marketing Companies, but in the year 2010 it started to operate its very own state of the art 20 million litres storage depot across the ferry at Kigamboni, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
